Positive Behaviour Practitioner
$80,000 – $95,000/year

Healthy Mind Australia is spreading its wings with the grand opening of our second office on March 8th, 2024. And guess what? We’re on the lookout for passionate Positive Behaviour Practitioners to join our dynamic team. If you thrive in the world of mental health and bring NDIS knowledge to the table, we want YOU!
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing Interim and Comprehensive plans along with functional assessments through data analysis for evidence-based practice
- Identify strategies for participants to enhance quality of life
- Lodging restrictive practices
- Working with NDIS plan and PBS budgets
- Collaborating and supporting families and providers
- Reducing and eliminating restrictive practices
- Delivering client-centered approach and strategies
- Hands-on client support to facilitate understanding and address behaviours of concern effectively.

Practitioner Selection Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, or a related field
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or behavioural difficulties
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with stakeholders
- Current driver’s license and willingness to travel to different locations
- Current suitability confirmed by NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commission at the core or above levels

Support Coordination (Social Work)

We’re on the lookout for passionate Support Coordinators and Social Workers to join our dynamic team. If you thrive in the world of mental health and bring NDIS knowledge to the table, we want YOU!
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with clients to achieve their goals in line with their NDIS Plan or Care Plan
- Use a coaching approach to assist clients in capacity building
- Maintain accurate and up to date case notes on clients progress and ensure this is entered in a timely manner
- Ensure Work Health and Safety guidelines are adhered to
- Engage with clients, their supports and 3rd party organisations in a professional manner
- Undertake work in line with the organisations policies, procedures, and values
- Comply with all relevant legislation and codes of conduct
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the NDIS systems and practices
- Some out of hours work may be required
- Possession of a current valid driver’s licence is essential
- Provide social work and at times mental health services across the age spectrum from child to adult

Practitioner Selection Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work
- Experience with NDIS Support Coordination
- AASW Membership
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or behavioural difficulties
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with stakeholders
- Current driver’s license and willingness to travel to different locations
